Emsy Robinson Jr is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, educator, and composer in the Dallas area.

His formal education started with the Music Learning Band program at Tyler Street Christian Academy, private lessons with jazz guitarist Chuck Pangburn, and music composition as an undergrad at UNT.

A gigging musician, Emsy has played with nearly 40 bands and opened for national acts such as RZA, The Toadies, Robert Cray, Ludacris, Chicano Batman, Macy Gray, Turnpike Troubadours, and Funkadelic..to name a few. In addition to live shows, he also records and writes commercial music; some if it has been placed in the Lionsgate film "Two Minutes of Fame" starring Jay Pharoah and Keke Palmer.

As an educator, he was worked with Thriving Minds since 2010. His focus is music composition, music and motion activities, and instruction on piano, guitar, percussion, bass and ukulele. He has also taught with the School of Rock, Lake Highlands School of Music,Swan Strings, and La Rondalla.

Emsy is available for solo performances, session work, and hired gun productions.
